Both sides traded worthy Goals of the Week contenders in a thrilling 1-1 draw. Kansas City’s, Brad Davis, opened up the scoring in the 30th minute after he beat a defender to a Graham Zusi header. He then took a touch to the inside and curled a bender into the far post. Moments before the halftime break, LA answered back. Gyasi Zardes played a ball forward to Gio Dos Santos, who took a touch into the box and chipped the goalkeeper from a tight angle. Galaxy went down a man late when Ashley Cole was shown two quick yellows. They held on for their sixth match in a row in which they earned points.

San Jose Earthquakes (1) vs. Philadelphia Union (1) – Watch Highlights

Before all this, Chris Pontius scored the opened goal for the Union in the 30th minute. San Jose’s Anibal Godoy was shown a second yellow in the 60th minute.
