Six California Players Named To U-16 Girls’ National Team Roster

Six California girls were named to the 20-player U-16 Girls' National Team (GNT) as they head to the Netherlands for a training camp and three matches

Six California girls were named to the 20-player U-16 Girls’ National Team (GNT) as they head to the Netherlands for a training camp and three matches, one of which will be against the Netherlands U-17 Women’s National Team. 

The six players named to the roster are goalkeeper Katie Meyer (Eagles SC; Newbury Park), defenders Madelyn Desiano (So Cal Blues; San Clemente) and Sierra Enge (So Cal Blues; Cardiff), and midfielders Mia Fishel (San Diego Surf; San Diego), Jenna Highswonger (Slammers FC; Huntington Beach), and Kali Trevithick (San Diego Surf; Temecula). 

The U-16 GNT faces the Netherlands U-27s on September 20. They will also square off against CTO Amsterdam on September 23 and CTO Eindhoven on September 26. All matches will be played at the KNVB National Training Center located at their headquarters in Zeist.
