Big News from the City by the Bay: A New USL Stadium is coming to San Fran & SF Glens

SF Glens SC is celebrating their 60th anniversary. And they are giving a gift to the entire Bay Area:

A brand new waterfront stadium on Treasure Island.

The project is scheduled to be completed in Spring of 2022.

Check out the club’s announcement, and stay tuned to SoccerNation and the SF Glens website for developments and updates.

Originally founded in 1961 by Dr. Michael McFadden, the Glens have been a mainstay of the San Francisco soccer landscape for decades, winning two titles in the historic San Francisco Soccer Football League and advancing to the finals in the National Amateur Cup in 1979 and 1990.

The addition of the San Francisco Glens’ USL League Two team in 2018 to the top of the club’s pyramid is the latest evidence of their growth on the path to the professional ranks. Along with the Glens’ youth club, SF Glens Academy —an MLS NEXT, USL Academy, and NPL Club member as well as a Partner in Development of the San Jose Earthquakes—the Glens are the largest soccer club in San Francisco, providing all levels of competition to over 70 teams and 1,200 youth and adult soccer players.
