I have been in the gym business for 8 years. Right around the last week in December is when I start to hear it. I hear from everyone and everywhere. Its in the news, on the internet, posted on Facebook and Twitter. Its everywhere. And I cant take it. Resolution. There, I said it.

Forbes Magazine says that a mere 8% of people who make New Years Resolutions actually achieve them. That means that 92% fail.

A resolution by definition is a firm decision to do or not to do something. Sounds great on paper but in reality, well you know the deal. 2 weeks in and its over. I have a solution for the resolution. The word is Vision. If we can learn to replace our resolution with a Vision for ourselves we will be in a much better place to achieve it. Picture yourself standing at the finish line, accomplishing something you never thought you could. Scoring the goal with no time on the clock. Arms raised high, feeling accomplished. As an athlete this vision of yourself is vital. At the Parisi Speed School we talk to our athletes all the time about vision and
visualizing themselves accomplishing their dreams. Next step is asking the question- How do we reach that vision? And then we get after it. Not on Monday, not next week. Right Now. We write it down and keep that vision close so we can see it. We use it as motivation. No excuses allowed. If you want to better yourself
in 2016 its time to make the necessary changes to your lifestyle that will enable you to accomplish all that you were created to be. You are here for a purpose and NOW is the time to be your BEST you. Drop the resolution and create a vision for your life.

“Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them—a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.”
