SAN DIEGO – The U-18 Women’s National Team will be in Mexico City from August 8th until the 16th for a training camp featuring two matches against the U-20 Mexico Women’s National Team.

The two matches will happen on August 13th and 15th at the Mexican National Training Center in Mexico City. April Heinrichs, the U.S. Soccer Women’s Youth Technical Director, will be running the camp featuring the 20 players born in 1998.

All of these players are eligible to play the qualifying matches for U-20 Women’s World Cup next year, but their main goal is the 2018 U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Out of the 20 players, 4 are from California: defenders Tierna Davidson from Menlo Park and Julie Doyle from Laguna Niguel, midfielders Savannah DeMelo from Bellflower and Daria Petredes from Yorba Linda, and forward Taylor Ziemer from Santa Rosa.
