What a game! The Galaxy found themselves struggling in the first half with a 2-0 deficit. Their luck however, turned around in the second half. Steven Gerrard helped the Galaxy win 5-2 in a wild comeback. Gerrard enjoyed a successful MLS debut as he provided two assists to Robbie Keane and notched one goal himself. The win over the Earthquakes helped the Galaxy move to first place in the western conference.

Robbie Keane scored his second successive hat trick after flawlessly executing two penalty kicks and converting his third in the 64th. The California Classico was played in front of a sold out crowd of 27,000 where former Galaxy legend David Beckham was cheering on his former England teammate Steven Gerrard.

Next up on the Galaxy’s tough schedule is UEFA Cup Champions FC Barcelona in the International Champions Cup this Tuesday.
