Stanford routed Clemson, 4-0, in the 2015 NCAA College Cup championship match on Sunday to secure its first NCAA title in men’s soccer.

Leading the effort for Stanford was U.S. national team forward Jordan Morris who scored on either side of the half. Seniors Brandon Vincent (Valencia) and Eric Verso (Las Angeles) added to the dominating second half performance with goals of their own.

Stanford’s four goals are the most goals in an NCAA final since 1996 and their win is the largest margin since 1975.

Morris wasted no time scoring his first goal just 87 seconds into the match. San Diego native Corey Baird dribbled down the left wing and rifled in a low cross to an unmarked Verso at the top of the box. He took a touch and played a through ball to Morris in the box who lined up his shot and rifled a high hammer into the near post. Morris added his second goal at the start of the second half after receiving a ball from Baird in traffic. Morris beat two defenders and beat the keeper far post.

Morris had a hand in the third Stanford goal as he was brought down to the ground inside the box. Senior defender Vincent stepped up and converted the penalty. Stanford’s last goal was scored in the 73rd minute on a brilliant take by Verso who charged at the Clemson backline and curled in a low near post shot.
