ONE MORE SLEEP!

The 2020 USL Championship season kicks off on Saturday, March 7th. The league has announced SD Loyal’s match against Las Vegas Lights as the ESPN Game of the Week.

Three new signings: a Keeper, a Defender, and a Forward

Jon Kempin

In a last-minute shake-up, the club has added significant depth to the goalkeeping staff. Jon Kempin comes to SD Loyal from Columbus Crew.

Edwin Lara

Edwin Lara, the youngest of the new signings, will strengthen SD Loyal’s back line. Born in 1999, he will still not be the youngest player on the roster. That honor is still held by “Bev” Beverly Makangila, who was born in 2000.

Francis Atuahene

Francis Atuahene rounds out today’s announcement. The power forward has come to SD Loyal via a loan agreement from FC Dallas. Atuahene established his status as one of SD Loyal’s Power Forwards with his goal against FC Dallas in a pre-season match last month.

He then cemented that status with a goal against Reno FC. (Maybe the next team should try a triple-team. Doubling up Atuahene doesn’t seem to be enough).
