Carson, California – Saturday August 15th the LA Galaxy take on FC Dallas at 6:00 pm at Toyota Stadium. This match is pivotal in LA Galaxy clinching the first place spot in the western conference, as the go into the game trailing just two points behind conference leaders Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Galaxy have had great success since signing Mexican superstar Giovani Dos Santos. Dos Santos’ debut match against Central FC, a 20 minute cameo, demonstrated how much the Galaxy are going to benefit from the skills of the 27 year old magista. While Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane play a fundamental roll in the Galaxy’s success, Dos Santos is exactly what Galaxy need to add a quicker paced dynamic to the team. On his debut he managed to nab a goal and an assist in a 5-1 CONCACAF Champions league win against FC Central. In his MLS debut, he found the back of the net for the third goal against the Sounders to seal their 3-1 victory.

The Galaxy should be entering this match with a superior sense of confidence. However, for the Galaxy, “Our goal is to try and get our team better as we move forward,” Arena said. “If we get better the wins will take care of themselves.” Arena understands the level of talent his side has, and knows that the biggest aspect to improve on is their team chemistry and fluidity in gameplay. Keane added “When you work hard and you give everything you have for the team I think with the ability we have on the team everything will take care of itself. Nothing comes on a plate for anybody; it hasn’t been since I’ve been here.”

The Galaxy now have five consecutive wins at the StubHub Center, scoring 22 goals; in the last 8 home games they’ve put 33 goals in the back of the net. FC Dallas however, have won the last two matches against Galaxy at Toyota Stadium
