Nike’s Women’s World Cup ad made its television debut during the Champions League Final on Saturday June 1

Since it’s debut, Nike’s cinematic and action-packed “Dream Further” ad has been racking up the views & shares — for good reason! It’s pretty amazing.

Have you seen it? If you haven’t, check it out. If you’ve already seen it, you know you want to see it again…

Now that you’ve seen it (again), here are some things you may not have known:

Some “Behind the Scenes” for you…

The young player is 10-year-old Makena Cook. She plays for Slammers in SoCal. You’re in for a treat when you give her & her mom an IG follow here. The ad features tons of famous and professional soccer stars, and also some of the best female referees in the nation. CalSouth & US Soccer referees Karen Callado and Salma Perez were also part the magic.

Karen said they filmed her sections in April in Los Angeles. She said, “…so proud to be part of this huge commercial, it makes me keeping dream!” Karen was an AR (assistant/sideline referee) and Salma was the Center Ref.

Some shots were filmed at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA:

Also, a lot of the ad was filmed in Spain by “Sports on Screen,” who worked with Nike to create the flashy 3min film.

Hundreds were involved in creating the ad, including sound editors like this guy:
