Frisco – The LA Galaxy have maintained their winning record by beating FC Dallas away. The Galaxy trailed 1-0 in the first half after Michael Barrios won a header over Zardes at half field, beat De La Garza to the second ball, ran past GK Ricketts, and lightly tapped the ball into the back of the net. In the second half Robbie Rodgers found Robbie Keane’s head for an easy tap-in to tie up the game. Five minutes Later, Keane found himself running at Dallas’ defense with Dos Santos supporting on his right. Keane played Dos Santos into the box, Dos Santos took a shot and it deflected off the goalie back to his feet. Dos Santos unselfishly served a cross, found an unmarked Keane. With an open net, Keane headed the ball into the back of the net for the game winning goal!

The way that Galaxy have been playing is unprecedented.  For most of the season Bruce Arena had been dealing with absences due injuries and international call ups. However, they’ve managed to maintain a winning record and currently sit in the second spot in the western conference. Nonetheless, the lack of a consistent starting 11 has limited the Galaxys ability to build team chemistry and familiarize themselves as a unit. Arena finally started the same lineup back to back for the first time this season. This tells us that the Galaxy are finally healthy and that international play is on hold for now.

Moreover, Robbie Keane made his 100th MLS appearance against Dallas and added 2 goals to his MLS résumé which includes 66 goals and 49 assists.

Next, The Galaxy take on Communicaciones in CONCACAF Champions League play on Tuesday 08/18/15 @7pm at the StubHub Center.
