Albion Pros take their unbeaten streak on the road versus FC Hasental this weekend. Albion will be looking to claim three more points on the road and maintain their three-point cushion at the top of the NPSL Southwest Conference table. FC Hasental will be coming off their bye week with an extra week of training to prepare for the Conference leaders. They will be looking to make their Cal Lutheran University home field a fortress that will repel any and all Albion attacks. Los Conejos (FC Hasental) will also look to breach the stout Albion Pros defense that has only allowed one goal all season.

Here we preview 3 things to look out for in the game for the Albion Pros!

  1. Travel

The projected three-hour drive from central San Diego to Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks may lead to heavy legs. Coupled with the late kickoff, it makes for a long day for the Albion Pros. Can the players adjust to the travel demands and execute their game plan on the road? IMG_6726

  1. Returning players

Albion Pros had a number of players missing from last week’s game against Corinthians USA due to a variety of reasons. Five players were missing through injury, suspension or personal reasons. Four of the five will return to play FC Hasental. Will their potential contributions be enough to claim crucial league points on the road? The squad will surely appreciate the boost in personnel, but the additional availability might create selection issues for Head Coach Ziggy Korytoski

  1. Goals

The biggest question for Albion Pros has been their ability to finish off chances in front of goal. The Albion defense has been stellar, only allowing one goal in four games. Despite creating multiple chances in each game they have played, the Pros have allowed teams to stay in games due to not being able to kill the contest off with goals. Albion will be looking to get back on track after not scoring at home for the first time in their young history. Maybe this is the game where attacking players like Matt Clare, Tre Hayes, David Luquen all get on the scoresheet early and often.
