SOCCER NEWS: Only 38 Days Left

Updated October 26, 2010

It's hard to believe, but today there are less than days until FIFA announces the hosts of the 2022 World Cup.

David Downs, Executive Director, USA Bid Committee says "It seems like just yesterday we collected our first petition signer. And from the very beginning, this has been your Bid."

David Hill, Chairman and CEO of Fox Sports Media Group, joined the USA Bid Committee to help bring FIFA World Cup™ to United States in 2018 or 2022.  Indra K. Nooyi (IN-dra NEW-e), chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiCo, also accepted an invitation to join the Board of Directors for the USA Bid Committee.

The committee has grown and includes so many people working together to help make the U.S. a real soccer nation.  We may not all be CEOs of huge companies, nor Brad Pitt (who is also on the committee0 but we all can help make soccer grow in the U.S.

Downs says "You've signed the petition and recruited your friends, family, and teammates to join in. You've shared your soccer stories and photos. You've attended special World Cup watch parties and shown our country's unlimited enthusiasm for the Game."

If you haven't signed the bid, it is not too late to have your voice join the million plus soccer fans who want the World Cup to come to the United States in 2022.  Join the soccer movement.  Celebrate the passion and joy of soccer.  Make your voice heard in the wold of soccer and make sure you add your name to the petition.
