Youth Soccer News: Count Down To Surf Cup Update
The San Diego Surf Cup XXXII presented by NIKE , a competitive youth soccer tournament for boys and girls, kicks off July 28-30 and Aug. 4-6, 2012.

The San Diego Surf Cup is one of the top 3 youth soccer tournaments in the United States and is one of only 3 non USSF Development Academy run tournaments sanctioned to host USSF Development Academy teams. This guarantees the Surf Cup plays host to the best youth boys teams in the US.
Surf Cup also accepts Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) youth girls teams which ensures the highest quality girls programs compete in the tournament.
The San Diego Surf Cup divides play into two weekends, one for older age groups and one for youngers. Boys & Girls The Surf Cup is played at the San Diego Polo Club in Del Mar, CA with 18 full sized fields in one location.
Surf Cup hosts over 400 college coaches and scouts each year making it one of the most desirable tournaments for college recruitment age players to compete for college exposure. Surf Cup aids college coaches with a recruitment handbook featuring schedules and contact, GPA and SAT scores information on all recruitment eligible players in the tournament.
Surf Cup attendance is expected to reach 75,000-90,000 over the two weekends with players, families and soccer spectators enjoying games played by the 376 teams in the tournament.
A total of 144 teams hail from Southern California, 224 come from 25 different states, 5 from Canada and 3 from Mexico. San Diego Surf Cup, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and brings a total economic impact to the San Diego Community of $25 Million (2011).
