The SAN DIEGO SURF CUP XXX continues this weekend and is one of San Diego's biggest soccer events of the year.  The excitement can be felt the moment one walks onto the field and is surrounded by thousands of soccer enthusiast.

This is second part of the prestigious Surf Cup, with the olders playing. Last weekend the younger teams competed to see who was the Best of the Best.   As one walks around the Polo Fields, one is easily impressed with the size and magnitude of the soccer event which draws soccer players from all around the country and even the world.  All teams arrive wanting to become the Best of the Best and triumphantly claim Surf Cup Championship.

This annual cup is a Class I Tournament; open to USYSA, US Club Soccer, Super Y League, AYSO, and FIFA affiliated teams. The tournament is a nationally recognized premier tournament, rated among the top two in the United States.

All games are played at the San Diego Polo Club, with 60 acres of manicured, level turf that are transformed into eighteen full sized soccer fields with a dirt parking lot. The tournament attracts teams from all over the country and the world and is played only 90 minutes from Disneyland, 45 minutes from the Mexican border, and 20 minutes to all the sights of the San Diego area including the internationally renowned San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, and Legoland California.

The Surf Cup even has its own line of attractive attire.  Each year's cup has it's own t shirts and jackets, proudly worn by soccer parents as an emblem of participation in prior tournaments.  If the lines at the Soccer Fanatic booth at the tournament are too long, you can visit SoccerFanatic online.

The San Diego Surf Cup hosts over 300 college coaches and scouts and is an excellent opportunity for showcasing a player's skills.
