Stormers Soccer Club chooses Korrio for Online Management
Korrio makes the life of soccer players and parents better through a great online system that organizes and administrates the youth soccer world.
The Stormers Soccer Club from the New York West Youth Soccer Association has become the first club in its region to adopt the Korrio Playflow system to manage club operations online. The all-volunteer club chose the Korrio system over several others it had been considering to help with its rapid expansion from six to twenty-one teams over the past seven years.
Located in the soccer-rich area of Rochester, NY, Stormers Soccer Club has nearly 300 players in its organization, which includes Academy, recreational and travel teams. The club was founded in 1980 with a focus on “character building, individual skills and good sportsmanship.” According to Club President Greg Lull, Stormers adopted Playflow “to accommodate its expanding operations and improve efficiency for administrators and volunteers.”
“I am so impressed with how Playflow was built, with such tremendous thought and planning around the player,” said Lull in a news release. “It is technologically superior to any other solution I’ve researched.” Playflow’s ability to provide users with customized views and real-time information and updates was a definite selling point for the club. The ability to streamline management tasks was an additional plus for a club that depends completely on volunteers.
“It has so many strengths: a sophisticated, intuitive design, ease of use, ability to store data from season to season, thorough integration of information and efficient organization,” Lull explained. “Korrio’s support is also excellent. It’s a very intuitive platform, but if I have any challenges or questions, I get an immediate response. I am proud to be an early adopter of this innovative and well-designed product.”
Steve Goldman, Founder and CEO of Korrio, is excited to be working with Stormers SC to bring the benefits of Playflow to improve their communication among players, coaches and parents. “The Stormer’s Soccer Club is a forward-thinking club that demanded an efficient way to manage its organization,” said Goldman. “Playflow is built to make it easy for new volunteers to jump in quickly and learn the system.”
The simplicity for volunteers to learn the system made choosing Playflow an almost natural decision. “I can delegate work quickly, without conducting a huge amount of training, which is extremely helpful when I’m working with new volunteers,” Lull said.
“The ease with which we can now create reports and rosters, and communicate with parents and players, has made less work for everyone. We’ve streamlined our workflow and now can conduct all operations in one online ‘place.’ Our volunteers work so hard – everything they do is aimed at helping our kids enjoy soccer – so I am happy to offer an online solution that makes their back office work easier and more enjoyable.”
Korrio’s Playflow system debuted in early 2011 and integrates web, social and mobile networking to improve communication among users.
Each user has a unique and customized view of the club’s operations and schedules, and the system makes it easy for organizers to manage information to provide real-time updates.
Playflow is part of Korrio’s mission to transform and elevate youth sports, in part by automating the types of activities that take away from face-to-face time, such as scheduling, team organization and registration.
