Spain players celebrate their win against Paraguay

 World Cup Coverage: Spain beats Paraguay in a tense game. 

It was a busy day for the World Cup.  Spain beat Paraguay 1-0 and will play in the semifinals of the World Cup for the first time. All eyes were on David Villa who scored late in the game, in the 83rd minute giving Spain their quarterfinal victory in the World Cup. Spain was determined to stay in the world cup and beat Paraguay, especially after defeating Brazil and sending Cristiano Ronaldo home.

Earlier, Germany eliminated Argentina 4-0, delivering the South American Soccer giant their worst, most  embarrassing   defeat in decades.
