Soccer News: SOLD OUT - U.S. Women's Soccer Match Against Costa Rica in Rochester, NY 

Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, New York is the home of the Western New York Flash and the Rochester Rhinos and is where the WPSL Elite held the women's soccer finals last month.

The U.S. Women's National Team's first post-Olympic match against Costa Rica on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y., is sold out.

After selling more than 11,000 tickets during the pre-sale, an additional 1,000 temporary bleacher seats were added in the south end of the stadium and went on sale earlier today to the public. The additional tickets sold out in 30 minutes to bring the capacity to nearly 13,000.

Fans also have the opportunity to watch hometown striker Abby Wambach and the WNT in action the day before the game during a public training session at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 31, at Sahlen's Stadium. The free training session allows access to general admission seating to see the team prepare up close. Those who purchase a USSSC Membership can reserve a spot for field-level access. The team's first match since winning the gold medal over Japan at the 2012 London Olympics will kick off at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NBC. 

The U.S. has announced two other September matches, both of which will be against Australia.

The first match takes place on Sept. 16 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., with NBC broadcasting the game at 12:30 p.m. PT. The U.S. then heads to the Denver area for a rematch against Australia at 8 p.m. MT on Sept. 19 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN3, and ticket information will be available at a later date.

The U.S. Women's National Team won its third straight gold medal and fourth gold medal overall at the 2012 London Olympics.

The USA displayed its first 6-0-0 showing at the event, which included a thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory in the semifinals against Canada on Aug. 6 and Carli Lloyd's two-goal performance to lead the U.S. to a 2-1 win against 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup champion Japan in the gold medal match on Aug. 9.

With more than 11,000 tickets already sold during the general and Visa pre-sales for the U.S. Women's National Team's first post-Olympic match against Costa Rica on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester, N.Y., the public sale that was scheduled to begin Friday morning (Aug. 17) at 10 a.m. ET, is being temporarily postponed.

U.S. Soccer is working with stadium officials to expand the venue's existing seating capacity and will announce the availability of additional tickets before they become available. Additional tickets will be sold through a general public sale.
