This year, Soccer Nation Expo has increased the number of exhibits and areas where attendees can play, learn, show off and experience more soccer activities than ever before.

The Soccer Nation Expo attracts tens of thousands of people.  With a peak 37,000 attendees, the Expo may even have higher attendance this year as they are reaching out to soccer lovers through a special promotion with KWKW and eight Clear Channel LA stations.

This will be the third time I will be attending the Soccer Nation Expo.  The first time, I went with my son's U-8 coach and was amazed at the exhibits and the speakers.  I live in San Diego and thought it was quite far to drive for a soccer event ... being the parent of a young soccer player.  Now, as a slightly more experienced parent and editor in the soccer world, I really look forward to this event and highly recommend it.

If you want to know what is going on in the world of soccer, especially in Southern California's competitive youth soccer, this is an event not to miss.  Even Cal South's State Cup Youth Soccer competitions take a break so players can attend the Expo.

Some of these exhibits are:

• The LA Galaxy and Chivas USA will both have large areas where attendees can learn new skills and play soccer-based games with representatives of the teams.
• Recreational coaches and players will have an area where members of the Cal South Coaching Education and Olympic Development staff will be giving instruction on drills specifically for younger developmental players. Sponsored by Kohl's.
• Nike will host their Elite 2.0 tour to test your skills and develop your game.
• Sports Authority will have the SKLZ team on hand to show you how to step up your training.
• The popular Futboleros soccer juggling troupe will show off incredible tricks and give you a chance to show your best tricks off in the Ultimate Soccer Arena and in soccer tennis.

And when you're not on a pitch or showing off a trick, you can visit Soccer Nation Expo exhibitors offering an incredible variety of products including soccer gear and equipment, not to mention many other consumer goods and services, and all from companies that love "The Beautiful Game" as much as you do!

To top things off, they're assembling a great lineup of guest speakers and clinicians, including some of the most renowned and respected soccer coaches in the U.S. and the world, who will provide world-class coaching clinics on their VIP Presentation Pitch for VIP coaches to enjoy. Special seating at these clinics, early show access on Saturday, Februrary 25, and exclusive access to special classroom sessions are offered to those who purchase a VIP Coach Pass. It's the best way for coaches to maximize their enjoyment of Soccer Nation Expo. To learn more about the VIP Coach Pass, or to sign up now, click here
