Indoor Soccer News: SD Sockers Win Again. Kraig Chiles Scores Four.
The San Diego Sockers are the 2009-2010, 2010-2011 PASL Champions, 12-time Indoor Soccer Champions, 2010, 2011 U.S. Open Cup Champion.
Kraig Chiles had four goals and an assist, setting the Professional Arena Soccer League record for goals in a season with 42, as the San Diego Sockers routed Revolucion Tijuana 13-2 for their 27th consecutive victory in front of a raucous crowd of 2,428 at the Del Mar Arena.
Chiles had a first quarter hat trick to pass the previous mark of 40 goals in a season set by Stockton's Bernie Lilavois, and continued his assault on the league record books with five more points, giving him 60 in 13 games.
Chiles is eight points shy of the league single-season points record with three games left to play. Team captain Aaron Susi scored a goal with three assists and Diego Rovira added two goals and a helper as the Sockers defused a potent Tijuana attack which came in averaging over 12 goals per game.
The Sockers stopped three Tijuana power plays and scored a pair of short-handed goals as they improved to 31-0 all-time at the Del Mar Arena.
