SEALIONS Partner with KICK FOR HOPE to Benefit African Charity Projects San Diego SeaLions help bring San Diego Soccer Lovers together to aid various charity projects in Africa. The San Diego SeaLions have partnered with the Kick For Hope non-profit organization to help aid various charity projects in Africa. Kick For Hope will host their second annual youth soccer tournament July 10-12 at several fields around San Diego County. One hundred percent of the tournament's proceeds will be donated to projects such as Kick 4 Life, Charity:Water, and Malaria No More. Kick For Hope tournament participants will receive FREE admission (courtesy of a Kick for Hope Tournament wristband) to the final two regular season SeaLion home games at Manchester Stadium on the campus of Cathedral Catholic High School. San Diego SeaLions are chasing a spot in the Women's Premier Soccer League playoffs. The first match in the race for the postseason takes place this Saturday, July 10 at 7:30pm vs. the PSSCV Rooks. The following weekend, the SeaLions will meet the defending champion Ajax America Women on Sunday, July 18 at 2:00pm at Manchester Stadium. Kick for Hope participants are required to wear their tournament wristband to gain entry. The soccer community is invited to come out to the 2nd Annual Kick For Hope Kick-off Jam & Charity Exhibition game featuring local San Diego coaches versus the San Diego FLASH men's team on Friday July 9 at 6:30pm at USD's Torero Stadium. The San Diego FLASH take on the the following coaches from San Diego: Carlos Calderson - PQ Premiere, Donald Laing - SD United, Robert Romero - SD United, Jason Heath - SD United, Ruben Maldonado – Kodiak, Jose Torres – Kodiak, Jonathan Maldonado – Kodiak, Jaime Villasenor - San Elijo Futbol Club, Joe Giacalone - FC San Diego, Cha Cha Namdar - Scripps United, Thierry Bouchereau - Carlsbad Lightning, Javier - Calle Republic, Gino Rossi - Oceanside Breakers, Ada Greenwood – San Diego Surf, Malachi Frese – San Diego Surf, Luke Boughen – Pelada, Roy Lassiter – Albion, Kiko Medina – Coronado, Jerry Ruiz – Coronado, Jenny Lawlor – Murrieta, Dave Light - Kick 4 Life, Tommy Tate – Arsenal, Lev Kirshner is the Coach with Jaime Mata Bring a new or gently used soccer ball for 1/2 off the $10 admission price. Kick for Hope Tournament players, coaches and managers will be admitted at no cost. San Diego SeaLions, proud sponsors of the event, will be on hand to sign autographs and more.
