Members of the San Diego Sockers will conduct a two-hour public clinic, with team members available for autographs. After the clinic, the Sockers will play an exhibition game against another local soccer team, the San Diego Boca FC.
Come meet the players and enjoy a free clinic.
Our Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) champion San Diego Sockers are offering a free (with your fair admission) two-hour, soccer clinic at the San Diego County Fair on June 13.
In the morning on June 13, youth teams from the Magadalena Ecke Family YMCA will play several matches.
For more formal soccer instruction, Sockers star Aaron Susi will be hosting four, four-day soccer Summer Skills Camps for participants of all skill levels. The cost of each camp is $125 and each participant receives a San Diego Sockers ball and three tickets to a game next season.

San Diego Sockers play with Border Collies on June 11 at the Del Mar Fair
What is more loveable than furry soccer players? The San Diego Sockers will play with 2 border collies at the San Diego County Fair at 2 p.m. today during the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge, in celebration of the opening of the World Cup. The 2 border collies, Ms. Z, 7, and Beck, 3 have been playing soccer since they were puppies and are great at headers.
Soccer and dogs are a popular combination. In case you leave the fair wanting more, here are two soccer playing dog movies:
Soccer Dog: The Movie (1999) a family comedy about the friendship between a kid and a soccer playing dog. The dog was a goal scoring champion with a lot of winning moves and helps the boy win the PeeWee Soccer League Championship. Another favorite is Air Bud: World Pup (2000) a family comedy with the popular Golden Retrieve Buddy using his ball skills to help his human win a soccer tournament.

General Fair Information:
The Del Mar Fair: At the gate on Opening Day, Fairgoers will receive a free "My Prize Pak," presented by 7-Eleven. This is a reusable shopping bag packed with coupons, prizes, two-for-one offers and more, valued at $500! "My Prize Pak" will be available while supplies last.
2010 San Diego County Fair will be 22 days, from Friday, June 11, through Monday, July 5. The Fair will be closed three Mondays, June 14, 21 and 28.
Discounts:
• $3 Tuesday – Admission to the Fair on Tuesday, June 15, is $3 with special tickets which are sold only at Albertsons stores. Regular adult admission is $13 senior admission is $7; so this is a huge savings. And because each Tuesday is Kids’ Day, children 12 and younger get in free that day. Tickets are available now, with a minimum $10 purchase.
• $2 discount tickets any day – Albertsons also offers adult admission tickets for $11, a $2 dollar discount! Regular-price senior and children's tickets are also available at Albertsons. By purchasing your tickets in advance at Albertsons, you can bypass the ticket line when you get to the Fair!
