US Club Soccer is expanding its membership services staff with the addition of Sacha van der Most, who will fill the organization’s newly-formed Southern California Membership Services Representative position.

 

Set to start today, van der Most’s territory will include Southern California at the youth and adult levels.

 

Based in Downey, California, van der Most’s significant experience within the soccer industry includes serving as the Director of Youth Development for Chivas USA of Major League Soccer. In this position, van der Most managed the club’s youth development program, was a member of the Major League Soccer Youth Development Technical Committee and worked closely with the Hispanic community.  

 

Sacha van der Most left his position with CHIVAS USA after 6 years when the New York Cosmos Academy West merged with the MLS club and Teddy Chronopolous took over the positon.  CHIVAS USA chose to take the leadership of their academy in a different direction after the merger, even though van der Most had build up the highly successful MLS Academy from scratch over a six year period. Van der Most is well respected in the Southern California area and will be a great asset to US Club Soccer.

 

A U.S. Soccer Federation A and B License holder, van der Most earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology and Coaching from California State University, Long Beach. His playing experience includes 13 years with Quick Den Haag in the Netherlands as well as one season with the Monterey Bay Jaguars of Salinas, Calif.

Sacha van der Most will help further develop soccer in the Southern California area and we are all fortunate that he has chosen to remain in this area.
