The CV Pumas Premiere FC team went to Nevada to compete in the Las Vegas Turkey Shoot and while they did not emerge victorious from the pitch, the team celebrated their winning season and left the city of sparkling lights feeling like the champions they are.

According to Maritza Gonzalez, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as the Chula Vista BU10 came back with there first out of state tournament loss." 

Although the CV Pumas team played well with 12 goals for and only 2 against, the boys took the fell short from making it into the final championship.  The San Juan S.C. from Nevada took first place in the Thanksgiving soccer tournament.  Even though they took a loss, the boys felt like winners! In celebration of winning Presidio League the boys were rewarded with a limo ride down the Vegas strip with smiles as if they had won the jackpot!

Coach Paul Gonzalez says "I'm very proud of my boys; they showed me that they can compete against top soccer teams."  In addition, Gonzalez corrected the number of goals scored during the tournament.  "The team actually scored 20 goals in all, not just 12 on the standings, but the tournament limits the number of goals counted per game," says the coach.

The CV Puma boys return to San Diego and begin preparing for their new challenge as the team moves up to the AAA bracket in the Presidio League for the 2011 season.
