Club Soccer News: Corona United Soccer Club Teams Up with LA Blues, Lococo Sports™ & SoccerFanatic.com
Los Angeles Blues Youth Soccer Club is proud to announce its new partnership with Lococo Sports™ and SoccerFanatic.com who will serve as the official retail supplier of both the Blues Youth Club and the Blues Premier Academy.
“We want to thank Soccer Fanatic for supporting the LA Blues Premier Academy” said Auggie Rodriguez, Technical Director for the LA Blues Premier Academy. “Soccer Fanatic has become the first sponsor for our youth academy, allowing us to start looking for the best talent around southern California regardless of their economic status. This is very important to us because many times the most talented players don’t always get the window to show their ability because they cannot afford the high costs of club soccer or other non-MLS academies.”
Associate Head Coach Shayon Jalayer continued on to say, “As both the Director of Coaching for the Blues Youth Soccer Club and the Associate Head Coach of the LA Blues USL-Pro team, it brings me great pleasure to be associated with one of the largest and most reputable soccer retail companies in the country. We are grateful for their help in sponsoring our very first Premier Academy Team and it only shows the deepest commitment from Lococo Sports & SoccerFanatic.com, not only to the game, but to the young boys and girls who depend on the generosity of such groups in enabling them to pursue their dream of playing at the highest level."
"As a top competitive youth soccer program, the former Corona United Soccer Club has teamed up with the LA Blues USL-Pro team and Lococo Sports™ to grow the club and continue their success on the field," says Jalayer. While becoming an affiliate of the LA Blues will allow the partnership with Lococo Sports and SoccerFanatic.com will be the foundation of building the club into the future.
The Blues Youth Soccer Club, which includes the nationally-recognized Pali Blues in USL’s W-League and the recently launched Los Angeles Blues of USL PRO, merged its youth club program with Corona United last month. Looking to establish a true pyramid structure for its teams from top to bottom across age groups, the merger seeks to accomplish a larger pool of players and coaches. “We’ve said from the start we want to have an integrated pyramid structure for our organization and Corona United brings a successful and established youth program with nearly two decades of experience and multiple teams into the Blues Soccer Club umbrella,” said Blues Soccer Club Vice President, Charlie Naimo. “This will help us both develop players and further grow our grassroots base.”
Now the new LA Blues Youth Soccer Club says they will instill a no-pay to play policy as they begin this year by integrating their 1997 and 1998 players into U14 Academy.
With the support of their sponsors, the Blues hope to run U14, U16 and U18 teams by the end of their third year.
Lococo Sports™ and SoccerFanatic.com started in 1997 and quickly grew into the premier source for authentic soccer gear on the West Coast after building several strong and long lasting relationships with local youth soccer clubs. The story is the same today, as they can list nearly every top Western Region youth soccer club on their roster of Member Clubs.
“The staff at Lococo Sports™ and SoccerFanatic.com are excited to have LA Blues on board and can’t wait to deliver our unmatched level of personal service to the players and families of the club. As a part of our team, they can look forward to member club perks including exclusive discount days, easy online ordering of club gear, tournament support and more” said John Lococo, President.
