CLUB SOCCER NEWS: Oceanside Breakers GU9 win their First Championship
Oceanside GU9 won their first tournament as a team at The Dave Shelton Memorial Cup in Escondido. According to Coach Gino Rossi, "This was a very happy moment for this girls as they have worked very hard in the past few months."
The team is very excited about this championship, they went undefeated thru the tournament and they are now looking forward to the start of the Presidio soccer season. The team is playing their best soccer and are on a 6 game undefeated streak in tournament play.
Viviana Rossi (a player on the team) had this to say. "It was totally awesome to win the championship, it is our first championship and we earned medals & a trophy .. it's the best ever." Unfortunately Rossi recently broke her arm and will be out for a few weeks but says she "Can't wait to play again!"
