College Soccer News: Tar Heel Men, Seminole Women Lead This Week's NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Polls
The North Carolina men and the Florida State women are both ranked in the top spot in this week's NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I rankings.
This is the first week for the men's regular season rankings, as the Tar Heels remain at No. 1 after opening the season 1-0-0. Creighton moves from preseason No. 3 ranking to the No. 2 spot. Also jumping up is No. 3 New Mexico from its preseason sixth spot, and South Florida from preseason No. 5 to this week's No. 4.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Connecticut after falling from its preseason No. 3 ranking.
After the second week of competition, the women's poll has seen its share of shake-ups. Florida State takes over at No. 1 with its 2-0-0 record, while UCLA jumps from No. 5 to No. 2 this week. Oklahoma State moves up one spot to the No. 3 spot, while former top-ranked Stanford drops to No. 4 this week.
Pepperdine and its 3-0-0 record rounds out the top five spots, jumping up from No. 8 from last week.
