Special Soccer Event: San Diego SeaLions Celebrates Mother's Day Fitness-Style
Special Mother's Day event in San Diego for mothers and daughters who want to start working out and enjoy the active life, and those who love soccer and just want to work out with our local elite women's soccer players.
In honor of Mother's Day on Sunday, May 8th, the San Diego SeaLions, along with sponsor Armone's Core Connection will host a free soccer and pilates event for moms and daughters to attend together.
Certified master Pilates instructor and founder of Armone's Core Connection, Armone Sullivan will be leading moms in a mat Pilates class. Moms will also have the opportunity to get a quick massage from holistic health practitioners and massage therapists. Moms need to bring a Pilates mat, water and comfortable workout clothing.
Daughters will learn soccer skills from players of the San Diego SeaLions, and Head Coach and former U.S. Women's National Team player, player Jen Lalor-Nielsen. Daughters should be between the ages of 5 to 12. They will need cleats, shin guards, water, small lunch or snack, and sunscreen. Every child who participates will receive a free ticket voucher to the San Diego SeaLions Home Opener on Sunday, June 5th at 2 p.m. at Cathedral Catholic High School.
Jimbos will be on site passing out fresh fruits and deli items. Refreshments from SeaLion sponsors, Larabar and Powerade will also be available. Check-in for So-Fit Fest will begin at 8:30 a.m at Cathedral Catholic High's Manchester Stadium (5555 Del Mar Heights Rd. San Diego, CA 92130). The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
