Soccer News: CV Manchester U19 Bring Home the Pegasus Cup Trophy

"Manchester Soccer Boys U-19 bring an end to an unbelievable season by winning The 2012 Pegasus Cup," says Coach Darren Parker

The 15th annual San Diego Pegasus Cup U13 to U19 competitions were held on June 30, July 1-2, 2012, and CV Manchester Soccer Club walked away triumphantly with the U19 Trophy.

Coach Darrren Parker was very proud of his team and said, "This was a great group of boys to coach and be part of. And just a great way to end their youth soccer experience with a win. The boys played excellent soccer throughout the tournament scoring some exciting goals and allowing the coaches to not say too much and sit back and watch them play."

The competition in the U19 Division included Notts Forest FC, Pumas FC, Mustang Rough Riders, Manchester Academy Hill, and YSC.

This is the last compeitive youth tournament for many of these players as they are now off to college and their next level of soccer.

Coach Parker said, "I wish all the boys the best as they now head to college. All of these boys will be attending or going back to college to play, from Trinity College in Texas to Michigan. Out of the 22 players we had this season all 22 players will be attending college, 19 of them on soccer scholarships, which is excellent for the coaches and the Manchester Soccer Club."
