Youth Soccer News: Manchester BU18/19 Team Won SCDSL

CV Manchester Coach Darren Parker said, "My under 18/19 team won the Southern California Developmental Soccer League (SCDSL) recently, beating Patedores team  2-1."

CV Manchester record for the season is 9-1-1, scoring 35 goals and giving up only 12 goals.

Coach Parker said, "It has been a great season for the boys and the older program for the CV Manchester Soccer Club, especailly if you think that three years ago the club 'really did not have a boys' older boys program.  The best news is the majority of the boys are being heavily recruited by great colleges.  Last year team produced 9 boys that went on to college to play soccer."

The Manchester team also participated in the Nomad's Thanksgiving Tournament and while they did not win, Coach Parker was very pleased with the soccer that the team played. "Our team ended up losing in the semi’s on PKs, but should never had gone to penalty kicks.  The CV Manchester team had 17 shots on goal and the ball just would not cross the line.  We were defiantly good and should of advanced but that’s soccer.  Sometime the best team doesn’t always win or progress in a tournament. Congratulations to Nor Cal who won 3-0 in the final."
