Jeff Illingworth's CV Manchester BU14 are the Champions

Club Soccer News: CV Manchester BU14 are West Coast Classic Champions!!

CV Manchester BU14 team won the West Coast Classic.  Coached by Jeff Illingworth, Director of Coaching for CV Manchester, the team of dedicated and talented soccer players worked hard and came away from the tournament as the champions.   After a recent close loss in the final of The Albion Cup, Manchester BU14 entered the West Coast Tournament in great spirits.

Playing three tough group games, defeating Real So Cal 1-0, CZ Elite 3-0 and tying 0-0 with  Arsenal, Manchester moved on to the Semi Finals.
 
The semi was an all San Diego affair against Ranch Santa Fe Attack. It was a close game, with Manchester winning 1-0.
On to the Final to play host Club West Coast - an old rival!  
 
Both teams playing their third game of the day, in hot conditions, provided a Classic Final soccer match.  A great game, played in good spirit, ended with Memo scoring for Manchester with a great header from a corner kick.
 
Five games without giving up a goal!! A lesson to all that defense wins Tournaments! 
 
Superb goalkeeping from Marcus Norris,with great defense from Memo, Sean Connors, Colin Morrison, Ernie Reyes and Grayson Lyman. The other winning factor was a fantastic Team Spirit of all the boys and parents
