Soccer News: beIN SPORT Starts a New Year of Premier International Soccer Action

January 5-6 Coverage Features Top La Liga and Serie A Action

Spain and Italy take to the airwaves for the first weekend of beIN SPORT broadcasts for 2013. Coverage for January 5-6 will feature key matches for top teams including Italy’s Lazio and Juventus and Spain’s FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Games will be carried exclusively on the independent international sports network dedicated to 24-hour coverage of the world’s best sports.

The action begins at 10:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, January 5, as No. 6 Levante face No. 13 Athletic Bilbao in a live La Liga match on beIN SPORT en Español, followed by No. 15 Granada against No. 9 Valencia at noon. Serie A kicks off the action on beIN SPORT (English) as No. 9 Catania and No. 13 Torino face off in a live match at noon, followed by No. 2 Lazio and No. 17 Cagliari at 2:40 p.m. ET.

Sunday, January 6, will feature several top-name sides in action. Serie A leader Juventus will face No. 15 Sampdoria live at 9:00 a.m. on beIN SPORT. That match will be followed by a series of La Liga contests, including No. 3 Real Madrid against No. 7 Real Sociedad and No. 1 FC Barcelona against No. 18 Espanyol. Meanwhile, No. 7 AC Milan will take on No. 20 Siena on beIN SPORT en Español live at 9:00 a.m.
