Pro Soccer News: LA GALAXY WINS, Fans and Team celebrate victory over Seattle Sounders.
Finally great MLS soccer can be celebrated in California, again. The spectacular end of the LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounder series took place last night at the Home Depot Center. To the delight and satisfaction of Galaxy fans, the LA Galaxy defeated the visitors 2-1.
Our local team took the lead in the match early on with a beautiful corner kick from David Beckham which was headed by Edson Buddle header and went into the net past Seattle goalkeeper Kasey Keller. All this excitement in the first 20 minutes delighted fans.
According the LA Galaxy's website "Beckham’s second assist was a thing of beauty, this time finding Omar Gonzalez with a perfectly-placed free kick for an impressive header and goal in the 27th minute." As you may recall, Beckham, has just recently returned to playing with the Galaxy two months ago after suffering a torn Achilles tendon while on loan to AC Milan in mid-March.
LA Galaxy was favored by many to win this series, although Seattle Sounders does have its devoted supporters.
