Family friendly activities for fans will include: raffle prizes, free giveaways, music, interactive booths and more!
Tickets are currently on sale to the general public starting at just $25. With only 6000 seats available, the game is expected to sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased at: www.tickets.com or by calling the University of San Diego’s JCP Ticket Office at (619) 260-7550.
Club Tijuana is coached by former Club America and Mexican National Team midfielder Joaquín Del Olmo, who in his first season with the club guided the Xoloitzcuintles to their first title last December, winning the Liga de Ascenso Apertura Season. Led by their captain Javier Gandolfi, goalkeeper Adrian Zermeno and forward Raúl Enríquez, Club Tijuana posted an impressive 11-1-5 record last season. Gandolfi, a defender from Argentina, and Zermeno, who spent eight seasons at Toluca, spearhead their defense, which conceded only seven goals in 21 games last season. This season, Club Tijuana is 0-1-1 in the Clausura Season. The Xoloitzcuintles play their first home game of the season this Sunday, when the club hosts León, which is currently in fourth place of table with a 2-1-0 record.
The Galaxy will open the 2011 MLS season on Tuesday, March 15 when they head to Seattle to take on the Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field in MLS First Kick 2011, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods. That game, which will kick off at 6:30 p.m., will be shown live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, as well as online at ESPN3.com. The Galaxy will then host the New England Revolution in their home opener at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 20 at The Home Depot Center.
