They’re still dealing with injuries to their back line (A.J. DeLaGarza is the likely starter again at left back for Todd Dunivant), they have shut out two consecutive opponents and are about to play their third set of back-to-back games when they travel to Vancouver, British Columbia to take on the Whitecaps on Saturday at BC Place (4 p.m., Time Warner Cable SportsNet, Time Warner Cable Deportes).

CARSON, Calif. – Alexi Lalas presided over a period in LA Galaxy history that was arguably as formative of any other time in the club’s existence.
Hired as general manager on April 17, 2006, Lalas was brought into the fold to replace longtime-GM Doug Hamilton, who had passed earlier in the year. During his time as general manager, the Galaxy were transformed as he made a number of important decisions including signing the first Homegrown Player in MLS history in 16-year-old Tristan Bowen, rebranding the club and signing international superstar David Beckham.

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy’s Dan Gargan said he wasn’t particularly happy with training camp, mostly because of nagging injuries that prevented him from competing for a starting job.
But he has good reason to smile now. The 10-year veteran is starting at right back and helping solidify a back four that has undergone considerable reshuffling because of injuries to the likes of Todd Dunivant, A.J. DeLaGarza and James Riley, whom Gargan replaced two weeks ago and will be sidelined for several months after underdoing knee surgery.
