The So Cal Infinity G99 Blue team packed in a double header over the weekend in the spring 2010 Coast Soccer League. The girls wrapped up the first game with a 3-0 win over Orange County Premier Future but had difficulty in the second leg of the double header and lost 2-0 to Celtic.

Celtic started the afternoon match with a flurry of attempts before Infinity knocked off the stiffness and countered with a flurry of their own attacks. However, Celtic struck first at the 4th minute for the 1-0 score and held the lead for the remainder of the half. Infinity players with shots-on-goal were Mia Richardson, Madison Kline and Maricarmen Reyes.

Infinity coach Clint Murray fired his squad up for the second half. Both teams wanted the victory with each teams’ attacks on goal being snuffed out by the defense and the keeper play. Smith of Infinity proved a valuable cog in goal, thwarting many Celtic attempts. The 16th minute of the second half, Celtic capitalized on confusion in front of the net to end the game at 2-0. Kline, Ava Gomez, Isabel Dehakiz and Michael Guptill were Infinity players with shots-on-goal in the second half.
