Club Soccer News: The So Cal Infinity '99 Blue Girls U11 are finalists in the United Cup
The So Cal Infinity '99 Blue Girls U11 undefeated run ended at the United Cup. The team was defeated 2 – 0 by So Cal Blues Rennie/Bobak in the finals of the United Cup Superliga division.
So Cal Blues opened the match with a great intensity. This was seen in numerous scoring opportunities. In the final minutes of the half, So Cal Blues scored off of set piece from a corner giving the them 1 – 0 lead going into the half.
The second half was more even in shots on goal. However, Infinity was unable to convert any chances. So Cal Blues on the other hand made their second goal in the 19th minute of the half extending their lead to 2 – 0. In the end So Cal Blues earned the cup with Infinity not backing down but unable to score any goals thanks to a stifling Blue's defense. Infinity players with shots on goal were Michael Guptill, Maddie Kline, Isabel Dehakiz, Mia Richardson, and Maricarmen Reyes.
