CLUB SOCCER SPOTLIGHT: So Cal Infinity '99 Blue GU11 beat Viking Soccer Club Fury

The So Cal Infinity '99 Blue GU11 walked away with a 2 – 0 victory over the Viking Soccer Club Fury as part of their run through the United Cup tournament.

However, the second half proved to be a different tale all together. At the 6^th minute of the second half, Infinity's Michael Guptill found Mia Richardson in the middle.

Richardson fought with a dogged determination and earned the game's first goal which gave her and her Infinity teammates the precious 1 – 0 lead.

At the 15^th minute of the second half, Infinity's Maddie Kline found the hungry Richardson.

The only thing that sated her hunger that day were goals. Richardson attempted to end her hunger with her second goal of the match extending the lead to 2 – 0 for Infinity.

The game ended with Infinity on top 2 – 0 and in position to advance to the semi-finals as either a #1 or #2 seed facing the other bracket in the Superliga.

Infinity players with shots on goal were Daniela Moran, Claire Murray, Maricarmen Reyes, Camille McDonnell, Maddy Kline, Michael Guptill, Abby Bivens, Isabel Dehakiz, Ava Gomez, and Mikayla Buscaino.

The long break in between matches did not effect the Infinity focus. The defensive battle was hard fought. Each team was unable to break the plane of the goal. The result was a deadlock of 0 – 0 as the half expired.
