The So Cal Infinity G99 Blue team earned its first victory of the spring 2010 Coast Soccer League with a 3-0 win over the Orange County Premier Future on April 11.

It was a cool, overcast morning. Hart Park filled with anticipation as both teams took the pitch for what would be an action packed game. Infinity took the initiative early in the match with shots on goal being snuffed out by the OCP defense. The corollary was true from the Infinity side. OCP was unable to earn a goal, ending the first half at 0-0. Infinity players with denied shots-on-goal in the first half were Camille McDonnell, Mia Richardson and Isabel Dehakiz.

The second half opened up with an instant OCP attack but the chance was snuffed out by the excellent effort from Infinity's keeper, Kelly Smith. In the 5th minute of the second half, Infinity's Dehakiz found McDonnell, who made quick work by deftly placing the ball beyond the reach of the OCP goalie giving Infinity the 1-0 lead.

In the 12th minute of the second half, Infinity's Abby Martinez carried the ball from her defensive position and found McDonnell who once again scored, extending the Infinity lead to 2-0.

With time running out, Infinity's Ava Gomez maneuvered past the OCP defense on the left side of the pitch. She then sent a high lob shot over the keeper and just inside the far post to finish the game out at 3-0. Other Infinity players with shots-on-goal during the second half were Madison Kline and Abi Bivens. The result gave the team 10 crucial points in the CSL spring standings.
