Pro Soccer News: LA Galaxy Top of the Charts
LA Galaxy wants to continue their winning ways as our Southern California hometown first place MLS team Galaxy take on Chicago Fire this weekend and look to extend the unbeaten streak to 12.
With a hot new goalkeeper, Brian Perk and an all star line up of David Beckham and Landon Donovan, the LA Galaxy are all set to maintain their undefeated record with another win. With the 4th of July debut of their new jersey, the team looks sharp and expects to thrill fans again on Saturday.
While the team has not scored in the past two games, and despite a series of attempts that could not find the back of the net when playing against the Seattle Sounders FC, the LA Galaxy lead the standings for the MLS Western Conference with a total of 36 points; reflecting 9 Wins and only 2 losses. Only FC Dallas has scored one more goal so far during the 2011 season.

Help give the gift of soccer by donating new or gently used soccer gear to our pregame equipment drive. Equipment will be distributed to children and organizations that assist under served areas.
The first 200 fans who donate new or gently used soccer gear at the LA Galaxy equipment drive on Saturday, July 9 will receive an autographed Sean Franklin player card!
The Galaxy Drives Series benefits community-based organizations by collecting much-needed items to assist in their charitable endeavors! Together with our fans we will make a difference!
Collection Details: Drive Series Collection Booths will be located outside each of The Home Depot Center’s entrances.
The collection will begin two (2) hours before kickoff and close fifteen (15) minutes after the start of the game.
Donors receive a "Galaxy Drive Series Voucher" valid for $5 off a ticket for select games and will be entered into a drawing for adidas soccer ball signed by members of the 2011 LA Galaxy team.
