FIFA BID

America is a SoccerNation.  Soccer has never been more popular in our country, and especially in Southern California.

The US Bid Committee for 2018 or 2022 FIFA World Cup is now getting ready to host the FIFA delegation for a tour and this is the best time ever to show support for the game we all love.

As the Go USA Bid website says "The power of our Bid ultimately lies in the number of Americans who stand with us and proclaim to the world "The Game is in US."

Landon Donovan challenged us to gather more than one million signatures — more than one million reasons for the U.S. to host the FIFA World Cup™ — before FIFA announces their decision on December 2.  Many people may have been sent an email about this...but incase you missed it - here is the information!  Sign up and be counted.  Help the US win the FIFA bid for the World Cup.  Let's show the world our passion for the game, our passion for soccer.

One week from today, FIFA is coming to the U.S. to evaluate our World Cup Bid up close.

This is a huge opportunity to make our best possible impression, so we need to go all out to show them just how much we want to host the FIFA World Cup™.

Right now, we have 981,000 supporters of our Bid. We're so close to exceeding our initial goal of 1 million -- but we need your help to get there before FIFA arrives.

I know I've asked you to spread the word about the Bid before, but with FIFA coming in just one week, now is the most important moment to take action. Tell everyone you know to sign the petition now:

FIFA is sending a six-person inspection team to tour several of the stadiums and facilities that are part of our Bid. After their visit, they'll report back to the FIFA Executive Committee, which is responsible for selecting the host nations to both World Cups.

When the FIFA team arrives, I don't want to tell them we have 990,000 or 995,000 supporters -- I want to tell them we have more than 1 million. Then there will be no doubt in anyone's mind that the Game Is In US.

With your help, I know we can get there. Tell everyone you know about our Bid, and help us make our best impression on FIFA next week:

As the process for the World Cup bid coming the the US moves to the next phase, the USA Bid Committee will host the FIFA Inspection Delegation visits the U.S. next week, Monday, Sept. 6, to Thursday, Sept. 9.

The six-person delegation will arrive in New York City on Monday, Sept. 6, ahead of a three-day visit of five U.S. cities representing the 18 candidate host cities of the United States bid – New York/New Jersey, Washington D.C., Miami, Dallas and Houston. During this important tour, the FIFA Inspection Delegation will have the opportunity to experience firsthand some of the U.S. bid’s proposed stadiums, training sites, FIFA Fan Fest venues, transportation, hotels, media facilities and -- hopefully, the enthusiasm of our nation for the game of soccer.

Share the joy of soccer.  As the Go USA Bid website says "Tell your family, friends, neighbors and teammates that you want the FIFA World Cup™ to come to the United States — and ask them to join our grassroots movement."

America is a Soccer Nation.  Let's show the world we mean business.  Thanks!
