Three teams from the club ranked first in Presidio this year; FC San Diego B96 Gold, FC San Diego B92 Gold, FC San Diego B2000 Gold. FC San Diego B94 Gold, FC San Diego B2000 Blue and Napier’s FC San Diego B98 Blue all took second place.
“A lot of credit goes to all these kids, we had an enormous about of injuries this year and at one stage were down to 11 players,” says Napier. “Two of my players Oliver Nelson and Matthew Oh will go forward to the US Soccer ID program boys 1998 next week in Escondido, Nelson has already been identified for the 1998 ODP program and will go to Ventura over the Christmas period as one of 12 players identified from the San Diego area.”
Napier continues, “I am so proud of all my players, we had high expectations coming into the season, but talk is easy, getting it done it the hardest thing, good job young men. Players to be recognized are Anthony, Jack, Chris A, Kobe, Nino, Chris D, Owen, Gabe, Kevin, Connor, Oliver, Matt, Bradley, Ethan. Great job boys!”
Napier’s BU12 team results in this season’s Presidio league were: Wins: 10 Losses: 3 and Ties: 1
“2010 has been a very good year for my teams, in January 2010 my G95 ODP team won the ODP Regional Championship in Phoenix Arizona beating Oregon in the final on PKs and my BU10 won the AAA bracket, and my BU12 first year team will go to Premier, thank you to all the kids, great job. Now, I move forward with my G95 ODP team as we go to Phoenix, Arizona for Regional Championships in January, 2011,” says Napier.
