The England National Football Team, England Soccer Team, The Three Lions

The England national football team also known as The Three Lions or simply England soccer team is an international soccer team that represents England from United Kingdome and The Football Association. The UK Islands represent separately in most international tournaments and England is one of those soccer teams.

England has won the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament once back in 1966 when England hosted the tournament. England also reached the semi finals in 1990 when world cup was in Italy. They have never won the UEFA European Championship titles but they have reached the semi-finals twice.

England remains among least successful soccer powerhouse, having won the world cup once, England has been unable to repeat that title. Their most recent failure was their disqualification for Euro 2008 but England is determined to come back up for world cup qualifying as it hired a new world class coach, the Italian coach Fabio Capello.

Despite the recent failures, England remains an European powerhouse and a talented side, with many great soccer players stars such as David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, and John Terry are to name a few.

England current jerseys are made by Umbro and sponsored by Nationwide. England home kit is White jerseys with accent of red and navy shorts. Their away jersey is subject to change but it is currently red jersey and white shorts.
