Youth Soccer News: Eric Chaisongkram joins Chula Vista Rangers as Director of Coaching

The Chula Vista Rangers Soccer Club has announced the addition of former San Diego Flash, UCLA and US Youth National Team player Eric Chaisongkram as the new Director of Coaching for the club.
Chaisongkram holds a USSF “B” National License and played outdoor soccer professionally for Thailand-UCOM Rajpracha and San Diego Flash before retiring in 2000. He also played for University of California, Los Angeles and formed part of the U16 and U19 US Youth National Teams where he was a teammate of Claudio Reyna the current U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director.
Chaisongkram is also an educator and currently teaches at the San Ysidro School District where he has worked since 2002. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and a Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University.
“Eric has coached High School, College and formed part of Albion and most recently Nomads coaching staff,” said Polo Aviles, EVP of the Chula Vista Rangers. “Eric is an experienced player and coach, and his expertise will greatly benefit our talented and dedicated group of young players and coaches.”

Eric currently lives in Chula Vista with his wife and two children.
