NCP Boca G99's road to becoming Tournament Champions at the Huntington Beach Soccer Tournament

 

We started out with a tough first game against OC Premier Future (who all ready had one game under their belt), the final score was Future 2 - Boca 1.

Second game against Lady Scorpions, Boca 3 - Scorpions 0

Semi-final game against Strikers, Boca 5 - Strikers 1. In the final we got a rematch against OC Future, where we won 'when it counted', Boca 4 - Future 2.

 

Our high scorers for the tournament were:

Our defense player, Kyra Greenwood, who scored four goals during the tournament

Daniela Zirkle also scored four goals for us

Hannah Roskelly got two goals

Even our keeper, Andrea Magana got in on the action - when she scored a goal in the final against OC Future!!

 

Coach Jose Figueroa says “This was our first sand soccer tournament - the girls were very excited for it and all the hard work they put in paid off in getting them a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!” 

Coach Jose Figueroa continues “Playing on the beach was something different and challenging for them...but like always they proved themselves again. I am very proud of all that these girls have accomplished with each other as a team.  And I am very much looking forward to all that is to come.”
