World-Renowned Real Madrid and Barcelona Resume Their Battle for Dominance as 2012-2013 Season Kicks-Off
beIN SPORT, the new 24-hour international sports network, will televise live, exclusive coverage of the opening of Spain’s 2012-2013 La Liga soccer season this weekend, August 18-19 on both its English- and Spanish-language channels.
Coverage of the La Liga season kicks-off Saturday at 12:55 p.m. ET with Celta Vigo versus Malaga.
World-renowned powerhouses Real Madrid and FC Barcelona renew their battle for supremacy this season with back-to-back matches starting at 12:55 p.m. ET on Sunday. First, Real Madrid and mega-star Cristiano Ronaldo shoot it out against Valencia, then Barcelona and Lionel Messi take on Real Sociedad.
In the 2011-2012 La Liga, Real Madrid outpointed Barcelona to take the top position in the league. The team recently completed a 4-0 run in the World Football Challenge, defeating LA Galaxy (5-1), Santos (2-1), AC Milan (5-1) and Celtic (2-0). Barcelona closed out their 2011-2012 season by defeating Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the Copa del Rey.
beIN SPORT will also carry matches from Italy’s Serie A and France’s Ligue 1. Fans can catch the action of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Paris Saint Germaine, Lyon and other soccer giants during the 2012-2013 seasons of these two top-flight leagues.
