Club Soccer Spotlight: Avengers GU13 Soccer Team Wins the Poway Country Shootout Tournament
Congratulations to the Avengers GU13-Eckel team for winning the Poway Country Shootout Tournament during the Memorial Weekend. They are the first Avengers Soccer team to win a tournament in the Soccer Club’s first year of existence. The team will be playing in several more tournaments during the summer before playing in the AA-A North Division of the Presidio Soccer League. Most of the young ladies go to Oak Valley Middle School in 4S Ranch. Under the guidance of Head Coach Mike Eckel and Assistant Coach Rodney Navarro the team is working hard to achieve their goal of winning the AA-A Presidio League Championship this year.
