About Abigail Littleton

Why do you like playing left or right mid and forward?

For left or right mid, I love coming down the line and getting the cross off for assisting goals. I love to shoot from outside the 18. As a forward, I love breaking away and popping a shot over the keeper's head.

Years Playing:

12 years

What is your earliest soccer memory?

A free kick scored while playing AYSO on the Green Machines when I was 6.

Who else likes soccer in your family?

Grandad is from Scotland, so my Mom's side of the family is crazy over soccer. We all love the game, including my Dad.

What's your most memorable soccer moment?

Back when I was with Chivas, I was playing sweeper. I took the ball from our own 6 and ran down the left side all the way to the other goal and shot with my left foot to score. I played sweeper until I left Chivas and came to Real So Cal.

What tournaments have you played in?

We have won Surf Cup 2010, Texas Shootout 2011, Las Vegas College Showcase 2011, and Pleasanton College Showcase 2011. We were Finalists at West Coast Futbol Classic and reached Final Four in Nationals.

What honors have you received?

I was recently ranked No. 20 in the Southern California Region for 2013 graduates on TopDrawerSoccer.com.

What do you like best about your team?

My team is so focuesd on winning and working together. A great thing is that we talk to each other on the field. What I think is really cool is that we are able to say to each other, "Oh, you should have done this," or "Next time pass it forward or back," and nobody gets upset.

What do you like best about your coach?

Adolfo Perez is a great coach. He studies each game as we are playing and places the right players at the right time to continue our winning streak. Adolfo is also the coach for the Pierce College women's team and knows that level of play, which helps us as well.

Coach Pepe Gonzalez (Chivas) Says...

Abby rocks the field. When she comes in she changes the game. You could tell when I would take her out for a rest the game would slow and we would play kickball. As soon as I put her back in the game would come back to life.
